The Village

A small, unassuming traditional alpine village with a wonderful ski area.

Montgenèvre is one of the oldest resorts in the Alps, 2007 was it’s centenary year. It held the first ever international ski competition.

A compact, traditional alpine village means no unecessary leg work. Although there is a complimentary minibus shuttle around the resort, there is no bussing required. The slopes come right into the village. There is an excellent choice of restaurants and snack bars. In the evening, there is a good choice of bars: the village cafe, the mountain bars, the late night club. On the slopes, there are two mountain restaurants in France and eight in Italy. Montgenèvre has an unassuming charm, a southern friendliness and small village atmosphere that make you feel welcome. In addition there is the ice rink, cinema, tobogan slope and museum.

Although the village is small, the combined ski area is vast, and thus provides a unique combination.
